The Acer Travelmate 3012MTMi is an ultraportable notebook computer that weighs approximately 1.5kg. Below its slim chasis is a 1.6GHz Core Duo processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, 80GB SATA HDD and an Intel GMA 950 graphics system. Like most ultraportables, its primary purpose is for word processing, web surfing and checking emails. Gaming and watching DVDs is hampered by the shared graphics, average viewing angle of the 12.1″ wide-screen LCD and lack of built-in optical drive. However, the integrated 1.3MP rotating webcam and availability of an optional 6-cell battery (standard 3-cell battery) will definitely appeal to mobile workers who Skpe or video-conference on the go.
