If you thought that piracy was only limited to software, well, think again. There are rumours going around that some guy nicknamed “woofeoinke” is going around classifieds and auction websites selling Intel Centrino stickers. This means that unsuspecting buyers of used notebooks could be in for a nasty surprise since you can now easily stick a Core 2 Duo sticker on a single core CPU notebook for example. Hence, we’d advise potential buyers to always check the CPU and motherboard information from the notebook’s BIOS or through Computer properties in Windows when purchasing a used notebook.
