After months of speculation, Dell looks set to acquire Alienware and extend their presence into the niche high-performance gaming market. According to a BusinessWire news report, chairman Michael Dell said “Alienware’s products are an excellent complement to Dell’s own line of high-performance computers designed for gaming, enthusiast and media content customers. In addition to offering high-quality, high-performance products, Alienware has tremendous brand appeal with consumers and creative business professionals.” The acquisition is definitely good news for international customers who have been wanting for Alienware computers and laptops, that until now, has only been available in America. Hopefully, Alienware products will be distributed overseas through Dell’s extensive network and covered by the same excellent on-site, international warranty.
