Looking for a notebook? You may be interested to know that there will be some major notebook updates from Intel in the first-half of 2007, specifically the company’s latest mobile platform that has been code-named Santa Rosa. One neat feature is a technology called Robson, which adds a large cache of integrated flash memory to shorten boot and resume times, and help conserve more energy. Wireless networking also gets a boost, courtesy of the draft-802.11n networking. In addition, there will be a speed increase, including a faster bus (800 MHz versus 667 MHz), updated mobile Core 2 Duo CPUs with superior power-saving technology, and integrated graphics ready to handle all the 3D-accelerated eye candy in the Aero interface for Windows Vista.
