iPAQ rw6800 Windows Mobile Pocket PC

HP launched a new range of Windows Mobile Pocket PCs in Asia, dubbed iPAQ rw6800 Multimedia Messenger. The only difference between the 2 models (white rw6818 and grey rw6828) is the integrated 802.11b wifi.

The tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) Pocket PC runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 and supports GPRS/EDGE mobile connections. Other notable features includes push-email (putting it in direct competition with BlackBerry), Bluetooth 2.0, dual stereo speakers, on-board FM radio and a built-in 2.0 megapixel camera.

The iPAQ rw6800 is powered by a 416MHz Intel processor, has a 2.7″ display, 128MB of ROM for permanent storage and 64MB SDRAM - memory is expandable via the mini-SD slot. HP claims that the battery has 5.5 hours talktime and 280 hours standby time.

The iPAQ rw6800 Multimedia Messenger bears striking resemblance to the O2 XDA Atom Pocket PC because they are both manufactured by Quanta. The iPAQ rw6828 currently retails in Singapore for approximately $757.
