The Flybook is a compact tablet PC at 235×155x31mm and weights a teeny 1.2kg. It is built to be extremely portable to follow you everywhere you go. The notebook has an 8.9″ (1024×600) wide-touchscreen that can be rotated and folded flat against the keyboard. As expected, a notebook this small would naturally have power and heat issues, and hence is driven by a low-powered Transmeta Crusoe 1GHz processor and ATI Radeon 16MB graphics chipset. The tiny tablet PC tries to make up for the lack of processing power with its varied connectivity, which includes 802.11b wifi, Bluetooth, tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) and GPRS support. However, for what its worth, we feel the notebook is perhaps only suitable as a mobile companion - a niche that Microsoft is trying to revive with their recent Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) initiative dubbed Project Origami.
